Many families in our country are getting free ration under the ration card scheme. But many people are not aware of the ration card rules. That is why KYV verification is very important. Not only the head of the family on the ration card, but all the family members must complete this update.

If you do not do the e-KYC verification as per the guidelines issued by the government, your name will be removed from the ration list. That means your ration card will be canceled. After that, you will not get free ration.  So e-KYC verification should be done immediately.

If the residents of the state have an old ration card, they should complete the KYC verification through Aadhaar card. Even if there is a new card, KYC verification is important. Similarly, Aadhaar verification is also necessary for newly added members to the card. That is, everyone whose name is on the ration card must have their Aadhaar card linked.

Aadhaar verification should be obtained from the ration shop vendor. You can go directly to the shop and complete this work offline. You do not have to wander anywhere else. Aadhaar card is important for this. Similarly, fingerprint verification will be done through a fingerprint registration machine.

According to the new rules issued, the names of ration card holders are going to be deleted. That is, ineligible people who have joined the ration scheme are being removed from the list. The government is going to cancel the ration cards of ineligible people. That is, only those who come under the rules issued by the government will get free ration. The names of others will be deleted.

KYC verification has been made mandatory for all ration card holders.  If you have not yet done your KYC verification, it is better to complete it immediately. If you neglect this, your ration card may become inoperative.

In some states, there is now a rule that every member has to go to the ration shop and undergo fingerprint verification to get ration. The aim is to ensure that only eligible people get ration.

In states, all ration card holders have to undergo this verification for every member of their family. This includes removing deceased members and adding new members.

States have reduced the ration amount for high-income families. The aim is to ensure that the benefits of ration provided at subsidized prices reach only the eligible ones.

The application for a new ration card can be done online as well as offline. The list of documents required for application is available on the websites of the state governments. While applying for a new ration card, you have to apply based on the eligibility criteria like family income.
