Women's entitlement.. No more Rs.1000.. The amount to be increased? What is the government's plan?
It has been reported that the Tamil Nadu government is planning to increase the women's entitlement soon. Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has announced in the Tamil Nadu Assembly that those who have already applied for the women's entitlement will be given the entitlement within 3 months.
Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin announced in the Tamil Nadu Assembly that if new applications are made for the women's entitlement, those applications will be accepted. We are providing the women's entitlement in such a way that no one is left out.
Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has explained in the Assembly that all eligible new applicants for the Kalaignar Women's Right Scheme will be given ₹1,000 entitlement within 3 months.
Women's entitlement increases:
There are reports that the amount provided in the women's entitlement scheme in Tamil Nadu may be increased in the budget next year. There is a possibility of providing women's entitlement up to Rs.2500 in Delhi. It is being reported that the same amount may be increased in Tamil Nadu only after Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and BJP have made promises in this regard.
The Women's Rights Scheme is being implemented in states like Karnataka and Maharashtra. In all those states, Rs 1500 is given to women. The Tamil Nadu government is the pioneer of this scheme. But in Tamil Nadu, only Rs 1000 is given. It is in this situation that there are reports that the amount given in the Women's Rights Scheme in Tamil Nadu may be increased in the budget next year. DMK is likely to promise that this amount will be increased not only to Rs 1500 but even up to Rs 2000. Keeping in mind the assembly elections to be held in Tamil Nadu in 2026. It is said that the ruling DMK government is likely to increase the amount keeping in mind the promises that the opposition parties are going to make.
The Women's Rights Scheme is going to be expanded again. Although an official announcement has not been made about this yet, there are chances that an announcement will be made soon. Already, wives of former government employees and wives of corporation employees have been given an opportunity in this scheme. But women who are already receiving pensions and other government funds in the bank have not been given money. It is said that they may receive announcements for this when the scheme is expanded.
Some other women whose documents are not correct have not been given money either, and women who are able to receive other government funds in the bank may be given an opportunity in the future, not just now, they say. On the other hand, women whose documents are not correct, and women who are married and head of the family, can apply to receive Rs. 1000. Although it is not possible now, they say that an announcement regarding the expansion of the scheme may be made in the next few days. It has been announced that those who were left out can apply then.
